VOTW Upsetting Humane Society Video
This is something that has had me up and bothered for most of the night. I caught the original video segment produced by the Humane Society yesterday afternoon, just before leaving my office. Something was telling me at the time that I should have stuck to World Golf Tour dot Com instead, but I’m glad I didn’t.
Anyhow, this slightly shorter and somewhat sanitized version of that same video shows some very disturbing images of what was happening at the Hallmark Meatpacking Slaughterhouse in Chino, CA when they thought no one was looking.
Not that I’m into promoting sensationalism, but I do believe that the best way to alter behavior in this country that we feel is truly F’ed up is to raise awareness of it. I also believe that this sort of thing is going on in more places than just Chino, CA and that it is time for our USDA inspectors to begin taking their jobs a lot more seriously.
(Warning: this video contains images that may be disturbing to some viewers)
