Restaurant Review - Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse Wine Bar

KC and I aren’t real big on corporate-franchise type restaurants, unless we’ve got the kids with us. Last night we were by ourselves and in the mood for something we could sink our teeth into while celebrating a recent milestone in our lives.
Living where we do, our choices are somewhat limited so we settled on
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar in
We started off with a bottle of 2004 Simi Merlot. While neither of us are really big Merlot fans, this one came highly recommended and since I’m a big fan of the Simi winery, we decided that would be a good choice.
For her main course, KC enjoyed a petit filet mignon (8 oz) coupled with a generous
I went with the double thick Australian lamb chops (16 oz) which were served with a champagne mint sauce that I could have lived without.
We shared an order of creamed spinach and an order of Fleming’s Potatoes (their house specialty with crème, jalapenos and cheddar). Probably more food than 2 people really needed to consume in one sitting, but great nonetheless.
Overall, considering the other steakhouses we’ve visited in the past year, I would rate our Fleming’s experience with 3.5 out of 5.
