Interactive Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Footnote dot Com

The Interactive Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a compilation of over 2,000 high quality photos of the Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. that have been stitched together. The names on the wall have been indexed and attached to information pulled from two major national databases: one for casualties and one for personnel.

If a visitor to the site wants to find a particular name, they can run a simple keyword search. Results can be expanded to reveal details about the search results including soldiers’ full name, rank, grade, specialty, hometown, D.O.B. and casualty type.
