With the big news we received last week about the sale of our home, I wasn’t able to post a weekly wrap up. Not just because I didn’t have time to write it, but with all of the back and forth in bidding on our new purchase, then scheduling inspections and making preparations for the move, I was challenged to keep up with everything that was happening around us.

While the past few days haven’t been much better, we have accomplished quite a bit and I was able to catch up on a few interesting things that I thought you might enjoy. Here is the best of what I found in the little time that I had this week…

  • This Week’s Top Pick: Adam Clark from the Lance Armstrong Fund posted a story about Johns Atkinson, a 39-year old, never-smoker, survivor of stage IV lung cancer. John is now one of 5 semi-finalist in the Tiger Woods Golf Challenge with an opportunity to play in a celebrity golf tournament prior to the 2008 US Open. To win, he needs the votes of the American public. If you would like to help John like I did this morning, you can go to Golf Digest US Open Contest and vote for him up to once per day during the month of April.
  • While trolling through my overloaded collection of RSS feeds earlier this week, I noticed that Engadget redesigned their layout to offer a content body that is a little wider and a little easier to read than the cramped look and feel that they were sporting earlier.
  • Speaking of blogs needing a redesign for a more user friendly experience…last week, in WinningtheWeb’s craziest Internet Contest Ever, I won a customer Wordpress theme from FutureROI (a $200 value). Thanks Gyutae and Christopher! Jcyreus readers should see the new look in a few weeks.

That is all I had time for this week. Looking forward, the next 4 weeks should prove challenging to say the least. Considering that it is now mid-April and there was a fresh coat of snow on the groung this morning here in Wisconsin, moving day can’t come soon enough.
