The past several weeks have been littered with moments of high stress and quick decision making amidst a sense of excitement and eager anticipation for what lies ahead.

Still, we found a way to carve out a few hours on Wednesday night to gather with some close friends at the St Paul Fish Company inside the Milwaukee Public Market for some icy cold adult beverages and best of all…1lb steamed Maine lobsters for just twelve bucks! Thankfully, our good friends Boo and Lisa picked up the tab, which came as a welcome relief from the move related expenses that KC and I have been bombarded with over the past few weeks.

Milwaukee Public Market

After finishing our lobsters, we took a walk down Broadway to The Wicked Hop for a few after dinner cocktails. From what we were told, Bloody Marys are their specialty. Check out the garnish on these puppies (those shoelace looking things are cheese strings accompanied by a hearty garnish of beef stick, pickle, and olive). Of course, a Milwaukee BM just wouldn’t be the same without a beer chaser.

Bloodys at The Wicked Hop

After wrapping things up at The Wicked Hop we ventured further down for a stop off at Fanatics Sports Central followed by a quick, but memorable ;-) stop off at the Hilo Martini Lounge. Good times indeed.

Only 2 more weekends left for us here in Lake Country. We made a lot of great friends over the 2 years that we spent here and we will miss them. Fortunately they all know where to find us and I suspect we will have a full house this fall when the Favre-less Packers come to town to play our beloved Buccaneers on September 28th.
